Scott Rothenberg has spent nearly his entire career at NEP, working his way up from freelance technician to his current role as Vice President, Technology & Asset Management. In this role, Scott focuses on both client needs and NEP technical capacity, working tirelessly across all of NEP’s divisions to ensure that the right equipment is always in the right place – and that NEP is always working to develop technical solutions to emerging client needs. In addition, Scott works to continuously improve NEP’s internal operations and processes, and works with vendors to source and develop specialized equipment.
After graduating from Ithaca College with a BA in Communications, Scott started his career as a freelance technician. He joined NEP in 1995 as a maintenance engineer, providing engineering and operational support for television crews and solving all manner of problems under the pressure of live television.
Scott was soon promoted to Engineer-in-Charge, responsible for the technical quality and success of remote television broadcasts. In this role, Scott worked closely with clients to implement plans and solutions to meet the goals of the show at hand, managed the technical crews responsible for flawless production, and ensured that any problems that arose were solved quickly and decisively. In 2005, Scott moved into management, first as an Account Manager, then as an Engineering Manager, and in 2007 he was promoted to Vice President, Engineering and Logistics.
Scott has been a member of three Emmy-award winning technical crews (twice for NASCAR and once for PokerDome), and won a Cable Ace award in 1995 for his work on “Ripken’s 2131st Game for HTS in 1995. Of the many things Scott is proud of as a member of the NEP team, he is perhaps most proud of the longevity of so many of NEP’s valued clients – and of its staff as well. Scott truly loves being a member of the NEP team, and loves sharing the outstanding dedication and commitment with his extraordinary peers and colleagues.
